Play.KungFuKoala.com uses Google AdSense, an advertising program that displays short ads based on our site content and possibly your personal browsing history with Google. If you use Google, or Google services, they will potentially be collecting information on your surfing habits, obstensibly to improve your experience with them and offer more personalised results within their search programs. Google's privacy policy explains what they may do with data they collect from your use of their services, and pages on our site that display AdSense.
The operators of KungFuKoala.com, and the server provider that hosts the website, will collect the URL from which you linked into our site, your IP address, and your browser type and version, just like most every other site on the internet. KungFuKoala.com will not distribute or sell that information to anyone; however, the server provider that hosts us may be forced by legal authorities to provide the information under the laws of the state of California.
If you take issue with any of your IP or browser information being recorded, we recommend you browse the internet using a proxy service. There are a myriad of options available to you if you opt to use a proxy, from Tor to ProxyWay.
If you take issue with our use of Google AdSense, or the concept of advertising in general, we can suggest:
- Opera 9+ (for "content blocker" capabilities)
- Firefox with the extension AdBlock Plus
- Chrome with the extension AdSweep
In terms of our advertising policy, an explanation by way of anecdote: Master Pha had once asserted his strict opposition to advertising (and may well again in future), but, quite accidentally, disabled his content blocker on one fateful evening, and so stumbled across an AdSense advertisement run by Cabinet Magazine. A few back issues later, he has come to accept that they can serve their purpose, and can be useful when they do not hinder the user experience. If they hinder yours in any way, we encourage you to look into the suggestions provided.
